February 2011

Valentines day was over a week ago, but i wanted to do a fashion tribute to all things valentine (and pink!) So here it is....I hope you all had a romantic and stylish valentines day!!!

Napoleon Perdis Mosaic blush $60, Maybelline Colour sensational pearl lipstick $8, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle $80, Lanolips 101 lip ointment $17, Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker $110

At the moment i've been loving the Glue store (http://www.gluestore.com.au/). They have unique items at many affordable prices, and their stock varies from femine to tomboy. Here are a few of my favourite pieces:

Textured waist belt, $30.00, Star dust party dress $119.95, Sunspinner tie dye top, $79.99, Floral shorts, 69.99, Valerie leather shoes, $109.95

Some fashion trends at the moment are  sequins, stripes, bright tropical colours, various hats from berets to fedoras, and high buckled boots. 50's inspired clothes are also in like black and white spots, shiny red shoes and bows on everything. The smoky eye is still in, but people are daring to use more extravagant colours like bright blues and pinks, and some are teaming it with a bold lip. This make up look is usually cringed about, but now more people are warming to it and doing it themselves.

Celebs in their favourite gold sequin dresses on the red carpet

Christian Louboutin red pumps US $595

The best dressed celebrity of the month is Vanessa Hudges. Her style is trendy and quirky, but doesn't wear overly bright colours. The light colours she wears compliment her hair colour and skin tone, and all her pieces look amazing together.

Ok, now for the Grammy's. The Grammy's brings many celebs wearing many different beautiful (and sometime just plain weird!) gowns. This year many stars peformed, including Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber ft, jayden Smith,  and Rihanna. Here are some of the best dressed:

Jennifer Hudson wearing a navy blue chifflon dress by Versace

Jennifer Lopez in a metalic , mirror inspired long sleeved dress by Emilio Pucci

Keri Hilson in a bright blue, metalic lined strapless dress by Basil Soda Couture

Lastly, my outfit of the month:

Indigo Denim Crop Jacket
Festival Trilby - Natural / Salmon
Indigo crop denim jacket, Top shop $50.00, Abercrombie and Fitch Megan skirt, $50.00, Abercrombie and Fitch Christina Top, $48.00, Rusty clutch, $25.95, Festival trilbry @ Cotton on, $19.95, Catherine sandal @ Cotton on, $19.95

Shop on,
Hannah xxx
