Hey Everyone!
Winter is fast approaching, and fashion is one element that is fun and simple to shop for, if you know what to look for and what the fashion trends are for the season. Heres' your guide to shopping for simple, trendy, and appropriate fashion for the colder months...
The key to winter fashion is layering. This method is ideal for keeping warm, as well as being easy to take off layers when inside or when it gets warmer. Its all about using what you already have, and pairing that with new pieces that are following trends or changing an outfit to make it look more casual or classy.
Heres an outfit showing how to layer with a skirt:

Bardot sienna skirt $54

Plain Black t-shirt

Bardot belt $19.95

J-Crew knitted cardigan $78

Grey blazer
JAG scarf $40

Christian Louboutin suede Ankle boots $400
Style guide:
1. Scarf
2. Cardigans
3. Tights/Leggings
4. Warm colours
5. Blazers
6. Boots
Some trends for winter are fur vests, trench coats, nudes, pairing leather and lace and 60's inspired pieces. The nautical trend is also back, so stripes, navys and reds are very easy ways to wear this. Messenger and over-the-shoulder bags are must haves, as well as lace-up or buckle-up ankle boots and leather shorts and skirts.

Winter beauty:
Just because the sky is starting to turn dark and dreary, doesn't mean your makeup has to look like that also. Bold red lips and winged-out eyeliner by day and sparkling smoky eyes and plum lips by night are absolutly perfect for staying bright and fashionable this winter, though saying that, we're going to have to drop the summer bronzed look for a simple, porcelain complection with slightly rosey cheeks. For nails, anything deep red, plum, black, grey, silver, dark blue or brown will make a statement, while staying sophistocated and edgy. If your wanting something on trend and a little more daring, try matte nail colours. For skin, creams that are heavily moisturising are ideal, as well as exfoliating body scrubs to help get rid of any dead skin cells. Hair- the summer top-knots and beachy waves are gone, and straight-edge cuts and fringes are back. Dead-straight hair is a must, as well as adding statement headbands with big bows or rhinestone accents.

Selena Gomez wearing the statement straight cut hair and fringe
OPI nail polish in Vodka and Cavier $20.00

Maybelline shine sensational lipstick in Fatal red $15.00

Burts bees Radiance day creme $18

Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm $5.00

Celebrity Fashion:
Forget the celebs this month, what we want to hear about is royalty. It was April 29th, 10am, as Princess Kate walked down the asile of Westminster Abbey. Wearing a timeless Alexander McQueen gown, Kate walked gracefully down the asile arm-in-arm with her father Mike Middleton, looking sophistocated and classy with a long veil and tiara. Although Pippa and herself looked amazing, i don't think all the guests got a good glimpse of themselves in the mirror before leaving the house that morning.......
Another fashion don't- antelope fascinators. Princess Beatrice looked beautiful in this nude Valentino Couture outfit, but the fascinator made her stand out for all the wrong reasons. In the ceremony her hat was one of the main eye-attractions, but i feel sorry for the person seated behind her!
Queen Margrethe II was spotted in the same outfit she wore to her grandchildrens' christening weeks before! She looks great in her bright blue outfit, but people are amazed at her thrift-style choice. Love it or leave it, Queen Margrethe II still looks great for 71!
Now for some stylish and suitable outfits at the royal wedding:
Victoria Beckham in her own label dress and Christian Louboutin Platforms. Victoria looks amazing in this navy outfit, complete with a matching clutch and fascinator. Victoria looked perfect for the occasion, and was dressed very appropriatly for the occasion.
Now for the real gown- Kates' wedding dress:
Kates dress was designed by Sarah Buton for Alexander McQueen for the occasion, and the combination of white lace and silk looked amazing on her tan complection. The dress had a 2.7 metre train, a veil held in place with a Cartier tiara and delicate lace sleeves made in nine months by over 200 women. The dress was not too much, not too plain, just a beautifully designed timeless gown perfect for a royal wedding.
